Blooms by Play-Doh – flower bouquets for grown-ups, made from actual Play-Doh
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. It costs you nothing extra.

Real flowers die in a week. Fake plastic flowers live forever, which is somehow worse. And LEGO flowers still look a bit like LEGO.
Blooms by Play-Doh sits somewhere in between. It’s Hasbro’s first Play-Doh line made for adults: a kit with dough, tools and a vase that you turn into a bouquet of flowers, then dry and seal so it stays on your shelf for months. Yes, the same Play-Doh you used to eat. (Don’t.)
I didn’t expect to want a Play-Doh product in 2026. I want this one.

What is Blooms by Play-Doh?
Hasbro announced the line on July 9, 2026, and put it straight on sale at Amazon, Target and Walmart. There are several kits with different flowers, from small petite bouquets to bigger ones. The Meadow Flower Bouquet kit is the one Amazon carries, next to an Amazon-only Blush kit. Target and Walmart stock others, like Garden, Rosy Petite and Wildflower Petite.
Hasbro’s reasoning is simple. Its own research says about one in seven adults uses arts and crafts to relieve stress. Brian Baker, who runs Play-Doh at Hasbro, told The Toy Book that Blooms is meant as a hands-on way to slow down and make something that lasts.
How does it work?
The Meadow kit makes 20 flowers. You load scented dough into the blooming tool, a plunger with a stack of tube segments, and press down. The petals come out of the top like the flower is opening. Then you add smaller hand-formed flowers and greenery.
When the flowers are done, you let them dry, give them a light spray with the finishing spray and arrange them in the vase. A bouquet organizer holds the stems in place. NBC Select says the spray helps them keep their shape for months, and you never water them.
What’s in the box, per the Amazon listing:
- Blooming tool (plunger, base and 9 tube segments)
- 12 flower cups, 12 flower centers and 20 stems
- A multi-tool, the vase and the bouquet organizer
- 5 greenery stems and the finishing spray
- 20 sticks of floral-scented dough in blue, pink, purple, white and yellow (765 grams in total)
- A how-to booklet with photos
The good and the not-so-good
The good:
- Everything is in the box. No trip to the craft store for wire or glue.
- The plunger does the hard part, so you don’t need sculpting skills to get real-looking petals.
- It smells like flowers instead of, well, Play-Doh.
The not-so-good:
- One kit, one bouquet. Once the flowers are dry and sprayed, the kit is done.
- NBC Select says “months”, not years. Don’t expect an heirloom.
- No single store sells every kit, so you may need to shop around for a specific color.
Who is Blooms by Play-Doh for?
Anyone who liked the Woobles crochet kit idea but doesn’t want to learn crochet. It’s also a fun group activity: Hasbro pitches it for bridal showers and Galentine’s Day, and I can see it working at a craft night with wine. Kids can join, the age on the box is 8 and up.

Where can I buy Blooms by Play-Doh?
Amazon sells the Meadow Flower Bouquet kit from the Play-Doh store. It was about 39 bucks at the time of writing (October 2026), with a 4.7-star average from about 70 ratings.
Flowers you made yourself, for under 40 bucks, that don’t need water. Your houseplants are jealous.
