GoPro remains the daddy of professional action cameras. The new HERO10 Black is no exception. The updated flagship GoPro has an all new processor with the G2, resulting in an all-around faster performance and double the frames when shooting video. You’ll get a good bump in image quality and increased stabilization with the new Hypersmooth 4.0..
Why do I need the GoPro HERO 10 over the HERO9?
If you’re serious about outdoor shooting, capturing your sport or making great-looking POV videos, the HERO 10 is a no-brainer upgrade. Next to a snappier performance and better handling of it touchscreen, the processor upgrade ensures the GoPro can now shoot 5.3K video in 60fps (as opposed to 30fps on the HERO9) and does 4K in 120fps (vs. 60 on the HERO9). Slowmo is now also available in 2.7K video.
Hypersmooth 4.0 enables steady shots in the most rugged, action-packed scenes, which is especially wonderful in 5.3K.
For photos, the HERO10 snaps 23 MP pictures with many of the same features found in the HERO9, albeit with an increased low-light performance.
Just like the 9, the HERO10 brings a lot of unique GoPro features to your shots. Hindsight recording makes sure you can capture 30 seconds of video before pressing record, so you’re never too late to capture something exciting.
Physically, the devices are more or less the same, with a front- and rear screen as well as a myriad of mounting and upgrade options.
A GoPro subscription enables you to pump your footage straight to the cloud or livestream to popular social media services.
