LIFX SuperColor Mirror – a bathroom mirror that's also a smart light

Most bathroom mirrors have one job and do it badly. In the morning they show you a face lit like a gas station at night. After a shower they show you nothing at all, because they’re covered in steam.
The LIFX SuperColor Mirror is a 36 by 22 inch bathroom mirror with smart lights built into the front and the back. It does warm or cool white for shaving and makeup, a full rainbow of colors when you feel like it, and it has a button that heats the glass to clear the fog. LIFX showed it at CES in January 2026 and it went on sale this year.
Is a mirror that changes color a bit much? Yes. Do I want one? Also yes.

What is the LIFX SuperColor Mirror?
It’s a rounded, pill-shaped LED mirror from LIFX, the smart bulb brand that designs its lights in Australia and belongs to Feit Electric. The lights sit both in the face of the mirror and behind it, so it can light your face and throw a glow on the wall at the same time. LIFX splits that into 50 separate color zones, which is why it can do gradients and moving effects like a flickering flame.
The specs from LIFX: 1,200 lumens, a white range from a candle-warm 1500K to a crisp 9000K, CRI 90 and a two-year warranty. It’s damp-rated for bathrooms and weighs 13.3 pounds, according to the Amazon listing.
How does it work?
The best part is that you don’t need your phone. Buttons on the mirror do the daily stuff:
- One press of Make-Up Check gives a balanced, neutral white
- De-Fog switches on a heating element that clears the steam
- Other presses cycle through white shades or switch everything off
- In the LIFX app you can remap the first three buttons
It connects straight to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with no hub and works through Matter, so it shows up in Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home and SmartThings. You can plug it into an outlet or have it hardwired, and hang it horizontally or vertically. At CES, LIFX also promised a Thread upgrade later in 2026.
The good and the not-so-good
The good: the physical buttons. Smart lights that only work from an app are a pain at 7 AM with wet hands. On paper, a heated de-fog panel solves the steam problem without a towel. And the white range goes far in both directions, so the same mirror works for bright makeup light in the morning and a dim, warm glow at night.
The not-so-good: there are no proper hands-on reviews yet, only a small number of early Amazon ratings, so how bright and even the light really looks is still an open question. The de-fog only works from the button. LIFX’s own FAQ says you can’t schedule it or start it from the app. At 36 inches and 13 pounds you’ll want a stud or decent anchors. And it was sold out on LIFX’s own shop at the time of writing.
Who is the LIFX SuperColor Mirror for?
People who already have smart lights and want the bathroom to join in. People who do their makeup at home and want honest light. And people with a home gym, because LIFX’s marketing seriously suggests the flame effect for leg day.
Skip it if your bathroom has no outlet near the mirror and you don’t want to hire an electrician. Or if a plain LED vanity mirror for less money does everything you need. It also suits a room with a color-changing ceiling light if you want the full disco.
Where can I buy the LIFX SuperColor Mirror?
It’s sold by LIFX on its own site and through the LIFX store on Amazon. It was about 250 bucks on Amazon at the time of writing (October 2026).
