If you’ve ever wanted to prepare post-apocalyptic recipes in your kitchen, the official Fallout cookbook should be your weapon of choice. I’ve enjoyed playing Fallout 4 on my PS4 and this cookbook kind of fills the gap you’re left with after finishing the main game and all of its DLCs.
What kind of recipes are in the Fallout cookbook?
A Fallout cookbook wouldn’t be a Fallout cookbook if you couldn’t prepare some of the food and beverages that you can find in the Fallout games.
Classics such as baked porn n’ beans (picture), Iguana on a stick and even Nuka Cola can be recreated in true Fallout fashion.
Now don’t expect this to be a random mishmash of ingredients that you thow in a pan. These are slight variations on popular recipes that take time to prepare and are slightly inspired by the asian kitchen. You’ll find appetizers, main courses, drinks and desserts.
Who is the Fallout cookbook for?
It will be good to know the Fallout franchise a bit before buying this book. If you’ve played one of the Fallout games and enjoy spending time cooking in the kitchen this will be a great book to consider for your kitchen.
Also, some of the recipes will require rare ingredients that you won’t find at your local supermarket, so be prepared to go to some specialty stores (it’s half of the fun).
Where can I get the Fallout cookbook?
The Fallout cookbook is available with most major bookstores and on Amazon. Besides the regular edition, there’s also a special gift set, that includes a Fallout themed apron so you can become a true Vault-Tec cook.
