Miniverse Real Music Record Player – a tiny turntable that plays tiny records

Vinyl is back, and so is the problem with vinyl: it takes up a whole wall. Your records need a cabinet. Your cabinet needs a room.
MGA’s Miniverse Real Music Record Player shrinks the whole thing to shelf size. It’s a mini record player that really plays mini vinyl records, with 30-second clips of real songs by Britney Spears, Elton John, blink-182 and more. It comes with its own little cabinet and two tiny speakers.
Is this a toy? A collectible? A desk gadget for adults who should know better? Yes.

What is the Miniverse Real Music Record Player?
Miniverse is MGA Entertainment’s line of tiny collectibles you unbox and display. This one also makes noise.
MGA announced the Real Music line on April 2, 2026, opened a limited presale on its own shop on April 9, and shipped in June. It sold well: at the time of writing it ranked around number 700 in all of Amazon’s toys, with a 4.7-star average from more than 400 ratings.
In the box:
- The working mini record player with a clear lid
- 1 playable mini vinyl with a “Classical Rock Remix” of Beethoven’s 5th
- A furniture piece to put it on and store records in
- 2 mini speakers (for looks only, the sound comes from the player)
It runs on two AAA batteries, which are included according to the UK retailer Smyths. Amazon lists it for ages 8 and up.
How does it work?
You put a record on the platter and swing the tone arm over it. The record spins and plays a 30-second clip of the song. Early buyers on Amazon say there’s a volume control and that the sound is clear.
More records come in blind packs called Real Music Vinyl, for about 12 bucks each according to The Toy Insider. Each pack has four mini records, a keychain and a small crate to stack them in. The Toy Insider counts more than 20 songs to collect, from The Beach Boys, Def Leppard, Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley, Elton John, Public Enemy and others. The licensing partner is Bravado.
What I like / What could be better
What I like:
- It really plays the record. Reviewers who timed it confirm the 30 seconds.
- About 22 bucks for a working turntable is a fun price for a gift.
- The cabinet and speakers are Barbie-scale, says one collector, so doll owners get a free stereo setup.
What could be better:
- Blind packs mean duplicates. You can’t pick the songs you want.
- There’s an app that connects over Bluetooth to update the player for future record series. One Amazon reviewer couldn’t get it to connect.
- Parents, check the track list. One grandparent wasn’t happy to find Public Enemy in a kid’s pack.
Who is the Miniverse Real Music Record Player for?
Kidults with a shelf of tiny things, music nerds who want a desk toy, and kids who love Tamagotchi-style collecting. It’s a great stocking stuffer for a vinyl collector who has everything except a record player the size of a sandwich.

Where can I buy the Miniverse Real Music Record Player?
Amazon sells it from the MGA’s Miniverse store. It was about 22 bucks at the time of writing (October 2026), and MGA’s own shop lists the same price.
