I’ve seen the AIAIAI headphones pop up on a musician’s YouTube channel a while ago. It happened to be the Ninja Tune edition of the TMA-2 HD headphones, which was made from recycled Ninja Tune vinyl.

The TMA-2 HD wireless headband contains memory foam, making it able to sit on your head comfortably for hours on end. It can be recharged using a USB-C cable and will run about 20 hours on a single charge.

Now, the modularity of the headphones is where it really stands out from your average Apple Beats, Sennheiser or Sony headphones.

The AIAIAI store allows you to order different headbands, speaker units, earpads or cables. This allows you to change the sound signature of your headphones (for more punchier bass for example), adjust the comfort, or to have a cable with a Lightning connector so that you can plug it straight into your iPhone.

Who’s the AIAIAI TMA-2 HD for?

The TMA-2 HD is aimed at musicians that want a comfortable over-the-ear headphone, that produces a neutral sound signature so that you can accurately use it for mixing music or DJ-ing.

This is a high-end model so ideal if you’re looking for something between a 250 – 500 USD range in price. You can always downgrade some individual parts or get a different model altogether on the AIAIAI website if you have a smaller budget.
