Sustainable phone maker Fairphone has launched a new version of their flaghship Fairphone. The Fairphone 4 is probably the most climate friendly Android phone you can get for your money. Like its predecessor you get a device with a high repairability grade and this time you can get a 5-year warranty.
Why do I need this?
While the Fairphone has been a modular phone from version 2, you can’t go around and swap every part for a better one until the end of time.
The Fairphone 4 is a big jump up from the 3+. The screen is made from Gorilla Glass, the body aluminium instead of plastic, and the Fairphone now features a 64-bit octa-core processor.
It’s also the first Fairphone with 5G, and has a 48-megapixel dual-camera, so you can create photos that are more comparable to other flagship brands.
And for being climate friendly, you can’t get any better than this. Every Fairphone 4 has been made from recycled parts, making it world’s first electronic-waste-neutral phone. Fairphone is also the only smartphone with a Fairtrade Gold certification and a platinum Ecovadis medal for being sustainable.
Beyond the high repairability score of the Fairphone, you’ll also get a 5-year warranty on the Fairphone 4, which shows this company is really dedicated to the longevity of your phone.
