A Tiny, Working 3-inch Turntable by Crosley

Forget this new SL1200 Technics just announced. Crosley is preparing something awesome to be sold on Record Store Day; a tiny, 3-inch turntable you can use to play actual, tiny records.

This shrunken record player is a limited collector’s edition device featuring a moving magnet cartridge by Audio-Technica, pitch control and of course its own dust cover.

The 3-inch turntable is powered by USB or some batteries and you can enjoy 3″ records (yes, they exist!) via the onboard speaker or a line out you’ll plug your headphones in. How much music fits on a 3″ record you ask? Approximately four minutes, or one song.

Crosley has confirmed multiple labels will start releasing music for this format so you can build your 3″ record collection

Where can I buy this 3″ Crosley Turntable?

The Crosley miniature turntable is only sold on Record Store Day (which is April 13, 2019) for about seventy bucks at select, participating record stores.
